FRATERNAL ORDER OF POLICE
THE VOICE OF LAW ENFORCEMENT

For more than 75 years, the Alabama State Fraternal Order of Police has worked to serve its members and their families through a variety of programs and initiatives that improve working conditions and provide additional support, both on and off the job. If you are a certified federal, state, county or municipal law enforcement officer in Alabama, then you can enjoy the benefits of membership.
YOU STAND FOR JUSTICE. WE STAND FOR YOU.
YOU STAND FOR JUSTICE. WE STAND FOR YOU.
Established 1947
We are fraternal because our membership is selective. We are a family, supporting each other in times of need. We are supportive of law enforcement departments and personnel. We support our communities.
The Alabama State Fraternal Order of Police FOP consists of more than 60 local lodges across the state and boasts a membership of approximately 8,000 men and women from all walks of law enforcement. Become a member of the Alabama FOP and you will also receive membership in the National Fraternal Order of Police.

Duty Called
A 13-foot-tall cast bronze sculpture erected in 1985 by artist Branko Medenica, stands on the south lawn of the State Capitol Building in Montgomery, Ala. It honors the sacrifice of law enforcement officers who have laid down their lives while protecting their communities and standing for justice. Each May, the Alabama FOP holds a service here to pay respect to officers recently lost in the line of duty.
