What every officer should know about administrative/internal investigations. This course is designed to provide information to the law enforcement officer subject to an investigation, the detective/investigator assigned to conduct the investigation, and the administrator responsible for supervising the investigation with further responsibility for acting on the findings. This course is designed in a way to enhance knowledge and skills related to the effective internal/administrative investigative processes and the protection it provides for agencies and employees.

The National Alliance on Mental Illness presents The Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) program is a community-based initiative that aims to improve the way law enforcement officers handle encounters with individuals experiencing a mental health crisis. The goal is to establish a supportive role for law enforcement in the mental health system by connecting individuals to community resources, reducing injuries and trauma, and diverting them from the criminal justice system.
